  Next, the stock steering wheel was replaced with a model from APC, which includes polished billet inserts onto the spokes of the steering wheel. APC polished eyebrows cover the tops of the silver APC Speed-Glo gauges. The Speed-Glo gauges also glow green or blue with the flip of a switch.  Last but not least were the stereo upgrades. For this to be accomplished, Larry left the PT project in the hands of Unleashed Audio Designs.

  While there, a Kenwood KDC-X815 head unit was installed to help supply the music of choice. To actually provide the sounds, Crystal Mobile Sounds 5 ¼ inch mids and highs were installed into the doors. To provide the bumps, Crystal Mobile Sounds 12” CMPX2 woofers where used. The amps of choice to pump up the volume was a Zapco AG 750 and AG 5P4-SL. Tsunami 4 and 8 gauge wire was used to help the clear sound. This vehicle was assembled in a short 8 weeks to premier the latest accessories offered by APC for PT Cruisers. I guess you could say that the vehicle was an absolute runaway hit.
