I hope everyone had a great holiday season this year. It seems that 2001 went by so fast that it was all just a blur. As I look back on 2001 so many great memories come to mind. Rollin four deep to "Texas Heat Wave" in my boy Brad's new dually. We did about a hundred on I-10 going through Houston with all the construction with his freshly bodydropped ranger in-tow. Poor Brad just laid his head over and went to sleep scared to death I was gonna total the tow rig and his ranger. But we made it there and back safely. Going to Vital Signs show Spring Fling in Panama City Beach, FL. What a great turn out, but then again holding a show in the middle of Spring Break helps out just a little. I love Florida, and the ladies weren't bad either. So many great shows this year and so many great shows returning that were none existent for a while. Although I wasn't able to attend IASCA or USAC World Finals this year thanks to the Louisiana Air National Guard, but hey there is always next year. It still was a great year. As I thought about what I envisioned for "Livewire" in 2002 a couple of things went through my brain. What little bit of brain I have left. This year my goal is to get the manufactures and competitive associations involved with "Livewire". I often find myself wanting to write articles on new and exciting products but just not quite having the detailed knowledge that I need to write the article on these new products. So this year we are going to take on a new approach with 'Livewire". I have contacted a few old friends and made a few new in the mobile electronics industry that promised me information on new products that will be hitting the market this year and next. I was also able to score a couple of pieces to beta test and send the results to you each month. Show coverage and feature installs. I receive a lot of email asking why we don't cover any events such as CES or Finals. As I sat and pondered that idea I couldn't come up with a good enough reason as to why we don't. So next year I would like to do some features and coverage of some key events. I mean mobile electronics is not just the old head-unit, amp and some subs anymore. Mobile electronics has totally taken a new twist with the introduction of multi-media. It seems like ever show I go to I am amazed at what someone has dreamed up and put into reality.

Another thing I'd love to see is your input. This is where I need your help. I need your input as to how we can make "Livewire" a better article. I can say that "StreetSource" in no way influences me into what my article has to contain each month. I need you the reader to help me with fresh new ideas each month. If you hear of a new product or a new technology that is coming and want more information, shoot me an email and I will try my hardest to get all the dirt you want to know about it. I can say that writing "Livewire" has been extremely rewarding and I appreciate all the new friends I have made from writing this article each month. With over 13 years experience in the mobile electronics industry, if you have any questions regarding technical support please feel free to email me and if I don't know the answer I will try my hardest to get you an answer.
