Houston Autorama
As I started getting ready to leave for Houston the next day I receive a phone call from a buddy that is suppose to meet up with me in Dallas and then roll out to Houston. Well needless to say my buddy we will just call "speed bump" is calling me to tell me that he can't make it and that he had some family stuff to do. And until he makes this incident up to me we will just call him "sell-out". Since sell-out was my ride to Houston I was screwed until I got a hold of my cousin who didn't have any plans for the weekend and decided he would go with me using his truck. Now that I had a ride and a game plan for the weekend we were just minutes from leaving before Julie called and said she wanted to go, which is cool I guess. So after getting to her house we all pile up in the infamous Tahoe and we were on our way but not before stopping by the beer store. With beer in our hands food in our stomachs we were on our way. After a 3-½ hour drive we were in Houston calling everybody we knew to get directions to the bar were everybody was. Once at the bar we watched the house band sing along with some of my NC brothers pretend to be rock stars and I drank. With it getting late into the night and all of us were feeling pretty good we decide to head back to Tom and Kev's (both ST Texas members) to crash, and after kicking yuhoe out of the spare bed to the couch me and Julie crashed.
Saturday morning came to early and we headed down to the show, after getting back words directions from Tom (again) we made it to the show and sat in enough traffic to drive you to drinking, so I did (drink that is). Once inside the show it was amazing. There were enough rides in there to furnish a small army. I can't tell you in words how much badass stuff they had in there so that's why I took pictures. But I can tell you that this is the show where a lot of people debut there rides for the upcoming season such as Berry-o and Max Maxwell had some of his newly finished work. There was plenty of stuff going on during show hours, CHYNA from WWF, a car auction, burn out contest, monster truck rides and of course a stunt bike show. After watching that and getting all the pictures I could handle for one day it was time to head back.
After leaving the show we hooked back up with kev and yuhoe to get a bite to eat at a local Mexican food restaurant before going back to the house to figure out what we were going to do. With all of us tired as hell we just stayed at Kev's and his girl (mega Meagan) came over along with amanduh (which passed out early) and her boyfriend chewy. Well soon to follow all the beer drinking and watching a couple movies it was time to crash. Sunday wasn't much of a day we woke up showered off, said our good byes and we were gone, good thing I saved some beer for the trip home. I would like to thank Tom and Kevin for putting me up for the weekend and like to thank amanduh's boyfriend chewy for not whooping my ass for locking ya'll out of house.
Over all Houston Autorama is a top notch show with top notch rides and I think everybody should experience a indoor show some time in there life so they can get the feel of what the rich fools do. Until next time, later
