The Drop Em Wear Original Mini Truckin’ Nats were held on July 2-4 at the Sevier County Fairgrounds in Sevierville, Tennessee. Formerly held at the Schular Inn in Pigeon Forge, this show is an annual must for die-hard mini truckers and car enthusiasts in general. The overcast sky on Saturday didn’t even come close to putting a damper on the festivities. There were sport compacts, classics, sky-high super dutys, and – of course – mini trucks. There were pearls, primers, and graphics in every color of the rainbow. The drag contest on Saturday afternoon proved that these kick-ass trucks were not only attractive, but also functional. For entertainment value, the on-site DJ spun a mix of tunes all day, and there was an afternoon bikini contest. The show culminated with a noon trophy ceremony on Sunday – which was especially convenient for those of us with a couple hours drive home. Overall, this was an excellent show. Few other shows can boast the quality of vehicles seen here! By Stephanie WhisnantPhotos by Whiz
