I taped up the quarters and scuffed the areas that were not already 320 sanded. I began by spraying some etch coat on the quarter over any bare metal spots. I then applied 3 coats of high build primer to each quarter. The quarters/tails were then sprayed with guide coat so I would know of any high or low spots when sanding it. When the prime was dry I blocked it out with 180 on a long board. I guide coated the whole quarter and tail section again and blocked it out with 320 on a long board. The car was then left in the sun for about 3 days because I couldn’t bake it at the time.

The bodywork soaked up the first time and I pulled it back in and blocked it again with 320. After I blocked it I tapped it up again and primed it with another 3 good coats of high build. I then sat the car in the sun again for about 3 days before I touched it again. This time the car didn’t soak up at all so I pulled the car in and blocked it out with 180 real quick, then 320 on a long board until it was nice and smooth. I then wet sanded the quarters, tail section, and inner jamb with 600 wet and the car was ready for paint.
