Next, Adam moved to the engine compartment. The stock 1.6 liter 4 cylinder engine received a ton of mods that pushes it through the ¼ mile in 12.4 seconds at 109mph. To start, Adam contacted Sean Devine of Brampton to handle the machining that was needed. The heads were ported and polished and aluminum rods were installed as well as aluminum pistons. A Greddy 15 pound turbo was installed along with a chrome intercooler to pump more air into the engine. Adam’s Civic gets added horsepower from a NOS 50 Shot Sportsman Fogger system and a Greddy intake lets the air enter the engine.

Spark comes to the engine via an MSD ignition and coil utilizing Vitek wires to transfer the spark to the plugs. Helping keep the engine cool, Adam installed an aluminum core radiator and SPAL cooling fans. To make things look nice, lots of parts and pieces were chromed and painted. To handle the extra horsepower that Adam’s Honda was now putting out, Shawn Devine and Maxwell Auto beefed up the transmission as well. The engine breathes thanks to a polished Greddy header and 2 ½ stainless steel exhaust. Now running the way Adam wanted it, the Civic was in line to receive a ton of body mods for that one-off show look. First, the factory hood was modified and a custom scoop put in place. Next, Adam’s Civic received Honda sport fenders in the rear along with Honda Sport rear bumper.
