After printing off my directions from Mapblast.com, I decided it was time to pack everything up at work and start my trip from Pennsylvania to Connecticut. I headed out around 2 pm and utilized I-95 through Jersey, New York and then finally landing me into Connecticut. I learned several things on my trip, one being that New York drivers need only an inch or less to merge lanes. The second thing is that Mapblast.com is full of shit when they tell you how long a trip takes. The trip was only supposed to take 5 hours but it wound up taking over 8 because of traffic. Ill spare you of most of those details and skip to my arrival in Connecticut. I arrived at the show grounds to meet up with Vinny and the rest of the Magnetic Minis crew so I could see what kind of events they had planned. After hanging out and talking for a while I figured it was time to go to the hotel room and call it a night in preparation of the long Saturday night ahead of me. As I arrived to the hotel room, change and was about 30 minutes into my sleep, when the phone rings. I'm half asleep at the time so I didn't recognize the voice on the other end. "Daniel, get up man were here", I open the door and greet James (pancaked), Douggie (DouggieFresh21), and one of their friends. We leave the hotel room and go across the street to hang with Creative Styles for the night. After a LONG night of drinking, talking, dragging and anything else you can imagine we finally headed back to the room at 5 in the morning. With very little sleep we woke up to head to the show field. Upon our late arrival due to the fact we had slept in until about 10, I was surprised to see that the parking was packed and that they were making plans to turn people away. We met up with Vinny and headed into the show field to take a look around. Once inside the park I was amazed to see how many vehicles I recognized from around the East Coast. I was relieved to see that some of my favorite clubs to hang out with were in attendance at the show. Ranger Dave and all the Down N Dirty Boys, Phil and J.R. from LowRollers and Nick my fellow Exclusive Styles Club member had made the journey to the show. I decided to get busy and cover the show, which from the looks of things was going to take forever due to the fact that the show field was packed. I spent the better part of the day taking pictures and talking to all my friends. After a long hot day of covering the show we decided to head out and relax until the nighttime activities.

We headed back to the hotel room showered and made plans for the night. Our original plans with LowRollers and Down N Dirty was to go eat. While at dinner we talked about all the events that had happened the past show year and decided to go have some fun. We left the Texas Roadhouse and headed to the go-kart track for a friendly competition. We paid for 1 race (because that's usually all they let us do) and waited our turn. We finally got on the track and started to "rub" other karts. To our surprise this track was high tech and the karts were computerized. Every time we hit someone the gas on our karts would be momentarily shut off. Well we still managed to trash a few karts until they blocked the track and told us to leave. We quickly left the track and headed across the street to another go-kart track. To our surprise this track was also automated so we decided to tear it up on the bumper boats. Now most of you may think that there's really nothing you can do on bumper boats but a couple of us learned quickly that they do not appreciate it when you jump in the water. With the night coming to an end we decided just to hang out at the hotel and drink and shoot the shit. The next morning I woke up and drove to the show to take a few more pictures. I didn't have much time because I had prior engagements back home so unfortunately I missed the hydraulic contest as well as the high/low contest. To my amazement the ride back home only took 5 hours which made me happy considering I could barely keep my eyes open. I have to thank Vinny and all the other members of Magnetic Minis for showing me a good time and making me feel right at home. Next year I will definitely mark this show on my calendar as one not to miss. Daniel www.ExclusiveStyles.com www.DropNDrag.com
