Ludikrs 2004
Ludikrs 2004, again, was an awesome show. In their second attempt, after a successful show last year, Ludikrs Kustoms puts on another great show full of oldskool and newskool trucks, compacts, and customs. Held at the sweltering Rialto Airfield in the 909, the weather provided plenty of eye candy.
The day started off at the shop were we then caravanned up 15N. We pull into Rialto Airfield mid through check in to three lines of insane show stoppers. After a cold morning, the sun beat down and the clothes came off, hot models all over the tarmac...it was sick. After cleaning up the rides, I cruised towards Paul Rivera’s late model Chevy Dually layin’ door on 22s. This truck is immaculate, with a new street trucks inspired look on the outside and a classic touch on inside. Rivera’s truck sits on machined downed 22.5"s to fit a 22" tire and the interior includes an original color, bright red '61-'62 Impala dash, bench seats, headliner and door panels. Forbidden Fantasy was loungen’ out in the shade of their huge enclose. MadHouseFX set the loomin’ soundtrack to another sick SoCal show. The hoppers came out at 2pm, Old Iron pulled out their ‘57 Apache beast and the hydros were insane. But the daddy's customs Toyota pickup was the show stopper...AGAIN. Pullin’ 4 foot bunny hops on first hit, the Yota got abused and the crowd ate it up.
So far, Ludikrs is setting the stage for how a one day summer show should be. I’m already lookin’ forward to next years.
