I had something pretty interesting happen this past weekend. We went to Slamfest in Tampa, FL. We had a great time, got to hang out with some people that we normally wouldn't, and met some people that we had only talked to on the computer before, And then I got to see a guy turn down watching porn with two girls in a motel room......... Yeah, I know, you can't believe it.......One guy, two girls, motel, porn........seems likes every guy's fantasy, right? I'm trying to figure out why he turned it down too...........The girls were willing. He wanted to hang out with his friends instead.....I guess guys can think about something besides SEX. I guess they can actually have a two track mind........let's see......SEX and MINITRUCKS.......yeah that's it... I do recall, however, that the next morning when we went to wake Daniel and his two friends up, only one bed was messed up. Mmmmm, I guess you can have your cake and eat it too......sometimes. The one thing that did kinda stink about Slamfest was that the promoters wanted to see your suspension move if you had adjustable. So, of course, that meant we had to stay with the truck until it was judged. It took all day for us to get judged and by all day, I mean, like 6:30 that night... We didn't get to walk around and look at any of the other rides. We did get to look for a bit on Sunday. It also kinda sucked that we didn't get to stay for awards, but we did win a trophy; which brings me to my next story. Lee and Elena Farmer have got to be two of the coolest people in this sport. They have shown Russell and I what true friendship is all about. They give continually and never ask for anything in return. Let me explain; Our Nissan had been in Texas getting some work done, or in this case, not done......We had already made plans on several occasions to go out and pick it up, to no avail. We were going to rent a trailer to pick it up. When Lee and Elena found out, they told us we could use theirs. They even brought it to our house, and they live over an hour away! Eventually, Russell and Lee rode out to pick up the truck. When it came time to go to Slamfest, they made the reservations for the rooms. They were leaving before we were and were kind enough that, when they got there, they went ahead and registered us so we wouldn't have to wait in line on Saturday. Then, on Sunday, because Russell didn't have any vacation

Now, I don't know about the rest of you out there, but I, personally, have never had a friend that was so giving. Normally, I'm the giver in relationships. I'm not even sure how to react to being treated so nicely. Most people are like, "oh well, fend for yourself". I'm not saying that these are the only nice people that I've met. I'm just saying that they are the most recent ones.... These are just a few of the nice things they have done for us. I hope that especially during this time of year, you will take the time to thank your friends and family for the things that they do for you. Thank you Lee. Thank you Elena. Brandi
