What do you get when you mix ghouls, ghost, goblins and a bunch of custom rides all together in the same spot the weekend before Halloween? You get a party that is looking for a place to happen. This year Sweet Temptationz hosted the show in the resort town of Hot Springs, Arkansas. It is a little town about an hour below Little Rock, AR that is known for having natural springs all through the town that are naturally warmed by mother nature. The Memphis crew of "EC" left Friday evening with the hopes to get officially "Kicked' out of their hotel first but unfortunately the Texas and Louisiana Chapters of "EC" had already beaten them to it. Having only checked in for a total of an hour the Texas and Louisiana crew was already making their mark and presence known on the little town of Hot Springs, AR. All weekend good old Mother Nature was trying to make for a completely wet weekend, but that didn't stop the hundreds of show goers from having a good time. On Saturday morning the show grounds quickly began to fill up with some of the nicest rides the South has to offer. The show was located at the Hot Springs Convention Center which is located in the heart of the picture rest little town. The promoters of the show had loads of activities to keep the show interesting, such as the beer chugging contest (only in Arkansas) and the mini bike racing contest. USACi was on hand to sponsor one of the last events before the 2002 finals. As the sun went down and everyone made there way back to there hotels, the night life that follows any great show was about to get underway. The Hot Springs finest had "ZERO TOLERANCE" for anything that makes a show fun to attend and was not afraid to use there coffee stained ticket books to make Hot Springs a better place to live. They can't help it they need new patrol cars. It wasn't long till the partying turned to the hotels and not the cruising strip for excitement. Leave it to an "EC" member to reopen the hotels closed swimming pool, except for one BIG problem, it was 40 degrees outside and the EPA's results from the pool's greener then green water are still not back yet.

On Sunday the show got kicked off with a dragging contest that left more then one trucks parts lying out in the street in front of the convention center. It wasn't long to the fears of all had came true. Mother nature opened the floodgates and decided that inside was where we all needed to be. With vendor booths lining the inside of the convention center you could find anything from a new steering wheel from the guys at Billet Accessories Direct to a set of 24's from the guys at www.TheRimShop.net to a new set of threads from DropEm' wear. Once everyone was inside all nice and toasty dry and warm it was time to hand out the awards and send everyone on their way to a wet and cold ride home. The Best of Show award was built by Billet Accessories Direct and was more of a work of art then a trophy. The sponsors of the show did more then hand out trophies this year they handed out hard cold cash to the winners of some of the several specialty awards. This is a show that will continue to grow in years to come because it had all the keys to a successful show.
