If there is anyone that knows how to throw a kick ass show and party it is NOPI. I found myself waiting outside the gate before the staff began letting the cars in. It was a good thing we got there early too because by the time they opened, the line of cars were out the driveway and into the street. Once we got in and registered for the show, my club and I began cleaning our rides. Soon after, we walked around and I took some pictures of other cars. There sure was a lot going on at Maple Grove that Saturday afternoon. They had a number of different vendors in attendance, racing was going on all day, X-Box was letting people play video games, and there were models out the wazoo. Since the event was sponsored by Universal " the makers of the movie The Fast and the Furious" they had a few of the cars from the movie on display. The red RX-7, the green Eclipse, and the orange Supra were even better looking in real life. With the bikini contest beginning soon, I knew that we needed to get a good spot so I could take some pictures of some fine women. Not only were there chicks parading around the stage in bathing suits, Nopiman was throwing t-shirts and key chains out to the crowd.

Before we knew it, the sun was beginning to set and the NOPI nightlife was about to begin. With a few singers performing on stage and a huge foam pit, the evening was bound to get a little crazy. Since I only live a half-hour from the track, I decided to spend the night at my house instead of a hotel. I'm glad I went home because when I woke up and looked outside, it was pouring down rain. I called the track and I was told that the event would be postponed. A few days later after playing around on the Internet, I learned that the second day of the show was going to be cancelled and that trophies would be mailed out to the winners. Despite the fact that the second day was cancelled, NOPI put on a bad ass show and you can be sure that you will see me there next year.By: Kevin BoteroS10KEV
