To go to a show like Sema is a dream come true for most automotive enthusiasts. For us it was another day at the office. Okay maybe not, but we did have to work! Taking pictures of hot women, err I mean rides, all day long takes a lot out of a man you know! Not to mention all of the freaking walking involved with covering this huge event. I believe out of the whole week we were there, I was still seeing new rides I hadn’t seen all week come Friday. But that is what is so special about this event. So Kris and I had this brilliant idea of driving down (which by the way was a 9+ hour drive one way) on the Saturday before Sema. Well if any of you know us, free alcohol is like a blessing! See most of you are thinking, “but you have to gamble in order to get drinks.” Well not always’ the case! We figured out that if you go to the bar put a $10 bill in and sit down you could get a drink free. When the bartender walks away cash out and walk away! See we are just full of all sorts of information here at SSM! Haha But we didn’t tell you, you figured it out on your own…..shhhhh Well Sunday evening came by quicker then expected as we were recovering from the night at the Casino, so it was time to hit Sema and see all the rides outside before they start hauling them in. Well needless to say there was phat shit everywhere! We attempted to cover all we could, so if you were there and we missed your ride, sorry! Well it was then off to the hotel to get a bit to eat and have some fun before the week got really going. The next couple of days were kind of a blur to us. Not so much because of the Casino activities, but more because we were walking around with our heads cut off attempting to talk to as many venders/models/ and friends as possible. But that left us free for Wednesday night. Come Wednesday, the guys from KMC hooked us up with some V.I.P. passes to the Beach later that evening. KMC along with Dub magazine were throwing a party only like parties can be thrown during the days of Sema. Inside, we would run into many friends who attempted (and succeeded) to get us MESSED UP! I believe Kevin from Pleasures enjoyed watching me get messed up more then actually feeding himself drinks. But I’ll be happy to say that I was conscious enough to enjoy Cypress Hill LIVE!! Yeah that’s right, Cypress Hill was in the house and bad as all hell! (Shortly there after I believe I past out at Denny’s after ordering breakfast….) After finally awakening from the dead at about 2pm, I headed back to the show to take care of some unfinished business. My goal was to cover all I could of the show so that those of you that couldn’t make it would get a glimpse of what you had missed. There was quality rides everywhere as there always is at Sema, and we even managed to pull out 4 features from the event. We were hoping to get more but ran short on light Friday evening and most trailered their rides out that night or Saturday morning. But I’m sure you will enjoy the coverage as I enjoy bringing the coverage to you.
