Merry Christmas guys and gals. Since I've not been to any shows lately, and don't get out much; this should be fun. I'm not really sure what to talk about this month so if you'll indulge me a little, we'll both see what comes out of my brain. I guess to start off, life seems like a big game of chance. By this I mean at certain intervals in your life you make decisions that change the future whether you think so or not. Case in point: last Dec. when Brandi and I were minding our business on the way to take a package to mail to my dad for Christmas. A delivery truck pulled out in front of us, I spent two weeks in the hospital and the last year; including two surgeries trying to put my life back together. Some would say that God already plans our destiny out, I believe that but like I said, at those certain points in life we contribute to that. Back to my story, about a minute before the accident we had to choose to go left or go straight to get to the place we were going. We went straight. Although the last year has not been pleasant physically, the renewed relationship with my wife and son is great. Basically, if you have the opportunity to think about decisions, do, because you don't know what's around the corner. In political news, does ANYBODY know who's going to be our president? This is getting F**cking ridiculous. Gore comes off to me like a big crybaby that wants to be allowed to play the game as long as it takes to get the count he wants. Bush, on the other hand, seems to be trying to defend himself against the bull that Gore wants to throw. Come on lets get real. This whole thing would be like going to a truck show and protesting, protesting, and more protesting to the fact that you lost. If I could speak directly, to Gore, I'd tell him to take his crying ass back to wherever he came from and smell his own bull. For those of you out there that are into gaming, I have one of the new Playstation 2's and I must tell you that it is well worth the money. I've gotten to try some of the new PS2 games: Summoner, and Midnight Club street racing. Summoner is a role-playing game with good graphics and an in depth storyline. Midnight Club street racing is one the import guys would like where you race against other people for pink slips. The graphics and realism though is not as good as Gran Turismo 2.

One thing about Midnight Club is you can race with trucks, lowriders, taxi's, compacts, and change the shade of colors on them. Another thing cool about PS2 is that you can use regular Playstation games, controllers, and memory cards in the PS2, plus it's a DVD player. One last thing, if you haven't checked out Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 2 I highly recommend it. It's better than one if you can believe that. If you need the secret codes for it, I have them. Setting up the Christmas tree is a ritual we do in our house the day of Thanksgiving with the intent of getting into the holiday spirit. In our house, it's an adventure with Nicholas being 4 and trying to hang ornaments on the tree. This year I ended up going behind him and trying to spread them out a bit because, he had them all right together. The point of telling you this is so you'll understand that doing things, not only during the holidays, as a family are real important. Involving kids or other members in your family makes them feel important, and like they count. I notice a difference in people during the holidays. Take for instance the people you only talk to once a year and it's usually during the holidays. I'm just as guilty as anyone else but it makes you think aren't these people just as important throughout the year? Okay I guess that's enough ranting for Dec.
