 While at Max's shop John did have the tailgate shaved, a big ass street-beat sliding rag, and a third brake light installed, which was stolen out of a 90's model Cadillac and placed between the tailgate and factory bumper.  Yes, factory bumper, I told you that he kept the body simple. Seriously though there is nothing simple about his paintjob, which consist of tribals, flames, tribals and a numerous array of colors and don't forget the background of gears and technical looking stuff.

  With the exterior catching everybody's eye it was time for John to take care of what he knows best, interiors. To start with John took the stock dash, smoothed it out and placed his air gauges on top before painting it to match the exterior.
