When is the last time that you have gone to a show where three different worlds become one? Well, on August 19, 2001 this is exactly what happened at the Central Florida Fairgrounds. Scarper and the gang from Lifestyles Minis hosted their third annual Motorfest. The show is geared towards all vehicle enthusiasts. From 4x4 monster trucks, slammed mini-trucks to performance imports were all participating at this show. It was awesome to see everyone get along and give each other props on their rides. The day brought on many different activities to see. On one side of the fairground you had the battle of the toughest in the truck tug-a-war. Here you have two beefed up 4x4 trucks chained together from the rear and when the signal hits its time to let the torque hit. The one who pulls the other truck the farthest wins. Then you have the mud races where trucks compete in a pool of mud. The object of the game is to get through the pool of mud the quickest without getting stuck. Oh yeah, did I mention the when the gas hits the mud hits the sky. Near by spectators got a little treat of mud pies. It resembled in many ways like the splash area at the Shamu Whale show at Sea World. The final activity is of course one of my favorite, the burn out contest. Burn Out! The minis stole this one. A couple of mini-trucks left with spares after this contest. Throughout the show there were some nice rides to drool over. For example Marlon Dunker's spotless S-10. The truck is like a work of art. Another ride was Rob Septor's Isuzu mini. Rob's truck can't go without notice with all the flawless bodywork and it's tricked out suicide doors. Along with these trucks there were many 4x4 trucks that were fully modified. Take Paul Zonghotti's 94' Toyota, it is wicked. The truck has a full painted under carriage. Motorfest was a great time for the different cultures of customizing to interact with each other. I am definitely coming back next year for the fun and you all should too.Eddie MedelNegative Camber
