The EliteSummerNationals held August 12-13th in Spartanburg, SC in the Spartanburg EXPO Center was a car show, sound competitions (db Drag Racing, IASCA, USACi and MECA regional level show for their respective competitor bases), vendors, and even a 4-wheel dyno was available. Joe Zelano’s second show improved upon his first show last year. Display vehicles from major audio companies and the cars from Joe’s shop (Elite Audio) were at the front of the display hall with the car show in the middle and the car audio competitors in the back and outside the sound judging was going on. August is a hot month but the air-conditioning worked great in the EXPO center. The number and quality of the vehicles at the show grew from last year so next year will be sure to please. Grand Central Entertainment kept things hoppin’ with give-aways from the normal t-shirts to car audio to car parts by throwing them out to having people dance to trivia questions. Plus the X-static Batcap girls threw out a few shirts while looking good. If you are in the NC, SC, TN, and GA area this is a show you want to add to your list.
