No one is good at everything. We all have our talents and faults in life, naturally excelling at some things and lacking in other areas. Some people may be excellent cooks, but hand them a pen and they may not be able to spell their own name correctly. Others can see an instrument and just know how to play it, but ask them to hand you a wrench and they’ll look at you like you just asked for a kidney. It’s just a matter of knowing your own strengths and weaknesses, and what you can do to improve upon them both. Such is the case that Paul Carl ran into when he came across this ’95 ½ Toyota Tacoma. Having just been bought from a fellow Acrophobia member only four days earlier, the new owner had already managed to foul up the wiring on the truck. But not only was he ruining this beautiful example of a true custom, he was blaming his own difficulties with electrical problems on the previous owner. Looking to move on from his own project, Carl left the decision up to his young daughter to decide between the Tacoma and his beloved 2001 Chevy S10 Extreme. “I showed her pictures of the two,” Carl says, “and as you can see, she chose the Taco.”
