Now that the body was worked over, blocked and primered, it was time to pull it into the paint booth. The paint Soupy decided to go with was PPG Black with blue pearl. Once again turning to Larry "Bones" Llmas, the Phantom was sprayed and a set of Blue Pearl SS stripes were added. After the base was applied, the Phantom was taken to Fastripe to have blue and purple House of Color flames added and pinstriped in blue, purple and gray.

Happy with the way the Silverado looked laid out, reworked and painted; it was now time to build the engine to help roll down the road at a quick pace. With the 16x8-inch Weld Split Six rims up front wrapped in BF Goodrich 235x16x60 and 14x15-inch wrapped with the monstrous 29x18x5 Mickey Thompson's in the rear, the engine would need many horses for getty-up.
