Finally, Chad decided that no show truck was complete without a few modifications to the engine. The factory 327 engine received a fair amount of custom mods that not only allow the truck to perform better, but look better as well. A Pete Jackson gear drive with aftermarket under pullies, Helix Power Tower and K&N air filter attached to an Air Max intake system give the stock engine a few extra ponies.

The electronic ignition system has been advanced and Direct Hits coils were installed in conjunction with Accell plug wires, which also adds a few extra horsepower. Chad also turned to Street & Performance for one of their computer upgrades, allowing the Chevy to use its new engine tweaks to the max. Custom 3" exhaust, complete with 2-stage Flowmaster mufflers, allows Chad's engine to rid itself of unwanted exhaust fumes. Chad's Chevy was now ready to hit the streets.

Last but not least, Chad's motorcycle is also considered part of his "display" when showing the truck. His bike, a 1999 ZX9R, is completely shaved and received matching candy blue paint and tweed seats. The bike runs nine second quarter miles.
Beginners Luck
Not many people can pull of the type of job that Chad did in such a short period of time. The truck sees many road miles and many shows each year, awing judges and spectators as well. Chad thanks the crew from Trikin' Out Truks for their help in completing the rolling business card in such a short amount of time.
