The Hot Rod show in Roxbury is put on by the Roxbury Township Explorers group to gain money for the events that they partake in. This show usually gets a pretty good turnout and brings in a lot of money for the Explorers. There are 3 “Best of Show” trophies that are given out at the show.This year’s event had a lot of entrants. It seemed like there where a lot more “in the works” or under construction projects out this year. Which is good because it’s good to see that people aren’t scared to show there work. The show featured some really clean old cars, and a few hot rods. The rat rods where few this year which is surprising because rat rods where starting to be a big thing. One of my favorites this year was the GTO “The Judge” that came out in fully restored form and one the 1st Best of show trophy.This show is a smaller local show. Its not your average 2 day show happens once a month on the first Thursday in ever month from April until September. But if you’re ever in Jersey and get a chance to hit up one of the local shows, this is definitely one to hit. Enjoy the pictures.Doug Large aka Douggie Fresh
