Tom Bennett of Lake Worth, Florida has always liked trucks. This member of Local Minis has built his fair share of rides over the past seven years including a king cab Dakota, stepside Chevy and Isuzu pickup. His new ride, a 1998 S10 Blazer, would prove to the show scene that Tom doesn't play around when it comes to building quality rides.
The first thing Tom wanted to change was the stance of his Blazer. Everyone knows that laid out is the way to go and Tom turned to the crew at Wicked in Hollywood, Florida to handle the task. First, the Wicked crew installed drop spindles from a '97 model S10 Blazer along with the brakes and rotars. Wicked also installed the lowered control arms from the same year Blazer. The crew at Wicked also removed two inches from the rear of the frame and sectioned the gas tank, so Tom's Blazer would lay completely flat on the pavement. Next, R.A.W. of Sanford, Florida installed a Pete And Jake's chrome 4-link the the rear of Tom's Blazer, created a monstrous C-Notch in the rear frame and installed airbags at all four corners for adjustability purposes.
The whole system operates via fast valves, which Tom has full control of while sitting in the driver's seat.
