As all of us were growing up we all looked forward to one time of the year and that is when the autorama or world of wheels came to town. As kids this was the weekend we spent with dad at the car show looking at the awesome cars and trucks that we wish we could get in and drive. Now that we have grown up we are driving these cars or trucks and our dads are asking us "why do your waste your money on that thing?" Well all you have to tell him is because you taught me to! This past weekend I got to drag my girlfriend up to the Dallas autorama, this year the show was a little better then the past few years but I was sad to see that there where not very many motorcycles present. But in their place they had a few cars from California and couple cover trucks so it all was not a waste! Besides the cars and trucks they had plenty of stuff going on to keep you busy. On Saturday Mick Foley from WWF was in the house keeping the doors packed and on Sunday John Schneider from Dukes Of Hazard was there to keep the kids busy. On both Saturday and Sunday they had the burn out contest and the motorcycle stunt team also to keep the men busy the Texas Bikini Team was on hand to give constant wood! I would have to say over all it is a decent show to go to, it is a time to see friends and prepare thoughts on the upcoming show season and it's a show to pass out flyers if you have a show up coming. The weekend wasn't all good though, my usual beer man that hooks me up was not in attendance this year so I had to buy beer at $4.00 a beer so needless to say I was drinking real slow on Friday night. Learning this lesson, on Saturday night we stopped bye the beer store and loaded my backpack up. Now KIDS don't take what I am saying as the right thing to do, you are not suppose to take beer up in these places but if they don't catch you they wont know….also I felt it was my duty to do this since they charged 10 bucks a head for adults and they could have hooked us up with a weekend pass instead of a day pass.
