To start this two-year journey, Stretch adjusted the ride height with AIM 2-inch drop spindles. To help continue the drop of the front, Stretch then installed a set of firestone airbags along with shocks installed into a new location. For the rear, Stretch first ditched the leaf springs and then welded up a TCI 4-link. Once the 4-link was in place, he then installed a set of firestone airbags to bring the rear to even levels with the front. For quick lift, Stretch added a 7-gallon air tank and two compressors to keep air ready. Keeping the ride to a respectable stance, Stretch slapped on a set of 18-inch Boyd Coddington evolutions, which were protected by a set of 215/35/18 Nitto tires.

Once he was riding low and on his new found billets, Stretch new it was time for the truck to hit the paint shop. With this decision, Stretch decided the Mitsu needed to be handed over to Tim Biggs of Mansfield TX. While in Tim's hands, the main job was to lay the sweet combination of PPG gray on silver along with House of Kolor chameleon tribal flames. To help bring out the flames, a touch of shadowed airbrushing along with green and blue pin striping was add. If you care to notice the bodywork was kept simple which proves the theory you don't have to shave it all in order to play in the field, but stretch did shave his mighty max emblem to get a little off the stock body.
