We arrived at the show at 700:AM and didn't get in until about 11:00. I have never in my life seen a longer line to get into a show. There were hundreds and hundreds of cars in a line that went several city blocks. Easily one of the biggest one day shows I have ever seen. My girlfriend and I walked to the gates to put up a few SSM banners and take a look around, then went back to find the rest of our crew (IVEVERLOW) waiting in line. We basically inched our way to the gates over a period of about 3 hours. Once inside, we started walking the show shooting pics. I must have walked 2 or 3 miles that day. Huge show…. That's all I kept thinking….
Then after we got the show covered I ran around looking for some nice rides to shoot and a place to shoot them when I heard over the phone that some drama was happening back at the fair grounds. From what I heard (and correct me if I am wrong), some guy was doing burnouts on the show grounds and it caused a confrontation which lead to some weapons being brought out. Needless to say it wasn't a pretty scene. I large group of police in riot gear broke it up and shut the show down before all the judging and registrations were complete. It was a very sad ending to a good show. The bad part is, the people throwing the show get the blame when the true blame should lie on the shoulders of the idiots that decided to get violent. Forbidden Fantasy throws a bitchin' show.
I did a little research and found out how they will be handling the chaos. And it goes a little something like this… The people that came in and got judged will be getting trophies at the next California Counsel meeting. All of those that paid registration and did not get judged, you will be receiving a refund.
