Step 20 Here is a pic of the hidden antenna istalled. It comes with double-sided sticky tape attached to it, so just clean off the area with the supplied cloth, and stick the unit on. Now we need to ground it, so I used a solderless connector and crimped it onto the ground strap, then secured it with a self-tapping screw. Once everything is where its supposed to be, your done. Put everything back togehter, make sure it works, and go back outside because its time to clean up your mess.

Step 21 You need to fill up the hole that you left, so break out the welder. I cut a circle of steel to fit in the hole, and tacked it into place on 2 sides. I made sure to tape off a lot of the fender so I dont burn holes in the paint, and put up a shield to the engine compartment. You might want to cover the window as well, but I didn't need to.

Step 22 Here is the hole after welding. Make sure to tack completely around, and always move across from where your welding, not next to it. Give the fender time to cool between welds too.

Step 23 And there you have it. After light grinding and a touch of body filler, the area is given a couple of passes with a DA sander. Since we are not painting the truck at this time, the area gets a quick shot of primer, and your through. Later on when the whole truck is ready for paint, the area will be brought back down to metal by block sanding, and removed to be coated on the backside to stop any rust from forming.
