Our first step was to remove the screws holding the old trunk lid in place. After doing this, the lid will sit in place without falling as long as you keep it upright.

Then, unbolt the trunk latching mechanism. Be sure to lay it down so the cable isn't kinked (don't want to do damage to the cable, or it's insulation).

 Next, using 2 people, pull the lid off of the arms. At this point, you should have just the arms visible (below).

Now we can put the CF lid over the arms and hand tighten the screws holding it to the arms. Do not tighten them to tight because you will need to adjust the lid for proper fit. Then, reattach the latching, hand tightening the bolts.
