2nd Annual Hondafest
2nd Annual Hondafest
Those People who came out to Hondafest this year where of all shapes and sizes along with different likes and dislikes. At first glance, rolling up, the show appeared to be fairly smaller than I had expected. I waited about 5-10 minutes in the normal line, for those of you who have been there the one with four lanes in, and one lane out. Upon entering my car in the show I soon realized that the show was in fact bigger than I had first anticipated. When you think of an all Honda show generally the average person assumes that there are a bunch of ricers sitting around hitting their almighty rev limiter, this was not the case however this year.
With everything from some of the fastest Hondas on the East Coast, to some of the slowest Hondas on the East Coast there was no shortage of entertainment. With booths setup throughout and a live DJ, the day there had enough things going to keep you occupied at the show. And if anybody was there during the races they also witnessed the nice fellow hop out of his RSX and propose to his girlfriend in the lane next to him in front of all the spectators before their race down the track.
Although I only got to walk around the show and take a quick glance because I was busy cleaning tar off my rims for almost 2 hours from the freshly paved potholes, the show had a great atmosphere and a pretty good attendance. If you get a chance and are in the area next year definitely drop by and show your support for the Honda community.
