When you see any ride in a magazine, whether is a car, truck, motorcycle, etc, you normally think it belongs to someone that has been in the sport for a while and had seen what it takes to become a "big dog". Not in this case though!! The 1995 Dodge Neon you see before you belongs to Brandon Lopp from Lexington, North Carolina. And he is FAR from being the typical car builder you would think of when you read through magazines. He is currently a student, not in college, but in high school. That's right, this car belongs to a high school student, who just happened to turn 16. Now when I was 16, I had a beater car and knew nothing remotely about custom rides. Being Brandon's dad has been building custom cars for over 20 years, he had the opportunity to grow up around cars and happens to know a lot about them. This car was build by both Brandon and his father Kelly at his fathers' body shop. Since Brandon had been going to car shows since he was a baby, he knew exactly what direction he wanted to take his car. When I first saw his car at a show and took the time to shoot it, it just happened to be his first show with the car. He also took best of show there. Now if that isn't breaking into the scene and showing people that even a 16 year old can show you how to win, I don't know what is!
