During the spring break weeks of March most typical people travel, or just kick back and relax and enjoy some cold ones by the pool. For us this year we spent part of our spring break traveling over to Panama City Beach, Florida for some good ‘ol truck scrapping fun. The occasion was the 9th annual Spring Fling show and shine hosted by Vital Signs. On Friday before the show, after a 3 ½ hour plane ride and a 300 mile rental car test we found ourselves in the middle of bikinis and margaritas aka spring break madness. After some hotel mix ups and a lot of cell phone calls, we had a place to sleep. We cruised down the main strip of hotels to see what we were in for during the weekend, we met up with Gooch and Josh from Wicked Customs to start off the blurry eyed, slurred speech contest that would be our night....As our number of familiar faces multiplied Matt, Pops and Ralph from Live Oak joined our ranks and we hit up some shuttle busses to escort us around the city for the night.Saturday morning came and it was time to hit the show. The Vital Signs event staff ushered in hundreds of highly modified vehicles into the grass show field Saturday morning and didn’t stop until late in the afternoon. The show field was large and could accommodate more than enough show vehicles. Everything from body dropped minitrucks to highly tuned import cars were showing off their stuff, Ekstensiv brought out some of their newest projects, as well as the world’s first stock floored Colorado was in attendance.

Saturday night would come and the Domination the Video drag session that we had planned was soon upon us. Thanks to Matt, Pops, and Ralph for treating everybody for my “birthday” seafood dinner. As 10:00 would arrive we started to head to the Publix parking to meet up with all the people wanting to drag for the upcoming DVD. Before we could get there the cops were already busting everyone out. We regrouped at the show grounds, and waited for the trucks to arrive. 50 plus bagged and body dropped trucks and cars showed up to rail there rides down the highway for several miles. This was my first Spring Fling that I have attended; it was great show, beautiful weather and tons of really cool people to meet.
