The New York International Auto Show couldnt come at a better time this year. Its almost convenient that two of my buddies were in the market for a new car around the same time this show was being held. We decided to head out to the show and were nothing but impressed with what the top car and truck producers had to offer. Some of the top choices we saw on display where the elegant and powerful Chrysler Firepower concept featuring an all new updated body for Chryslers lineup, Fords all new Sport Trac featuring shaved door handles with electronic door poppers, and the Jaguar "lightweight Coupe" bosting a 160mph that goes 0-60 in 5 seconds. Another car that striked our interest was the all new Honda Civic SI equipted with Brembo big brakes, shaved door handles, and a 6 speed trans which drives the 200hp DOHC Vtec motor. Volkswagon wasnt far behind with the VW Ragster Concept which looks like a chop top Beatle with a rag top and barly appears to be stock. And for those of you who are into SUV's I suggest you check out the GMC Graphyte which is a Hybrid concept with 22" wheels and cross drilled rotors. Overall I thought the cars and trucks on display this year really got alot of people curious for what it to come. Ford, GM, Honda, VW, Toyota and many others all brought out there top automobiles to really give the crowd an idea of were the future of driving is headed.
