Moving to the rear, airbags and Pro Comp Explorer shocks were bolted in, proving to be a piece of cake compared to the front installation. Troy chose to use two Firestone compressors, 3/8” line with fast bag valves and electronic switches to get Brett's Passat up and down with a quickness.

The next obvious decision was to start smoothing the Passat and give it new paint that was sure to turn heads everywhere. To get the attention Brett wanted, the door handles, emblems, side moldings, rear license plate box and lights were all shaved. Next, the body lines were removed and the front bumper was molded and rear bumper seams were filled to give the Passat the complete smooth look that Brett strived for. Troy Hamilton of St. George, Utah and fellow club member Joe Musso of Las Vegas, Neveda were responsible for the body mods to Brett's Passat. After the body was smoothed out from front to rear, it was time to paint Brett's Passat. The color of choice? Volkwagon Lesenol candy white sprayed by Joe Musso. After the base coat was sprayed, graphics were added using Mercury copper metallic and Volvo saphrone metallic, all done by Old School Customs in Mesquite Nevada. Other notable eye candy would be the custom chrome upper and lower grille on the front of Brett's Passat. Chrome reflective tint was added by Altimere in Las Vegas.

After achieving the low stance and smooth body Brett wanted, it was time to look for a set of wheels to set the Passat off from the rest of the competition. After looking around, a set of 18 inch Momo Sports caught Brett's eye. Wrapped in Nitto 215-35ZR 18’s, they complete the exterior of this show stopping Passat.
Brett went to a couple of shows but didn't quite get the recognition he was striving for. He decided that it was time to start putting some of those hard earned dollars into the interior. With the help of another fellow club member, Adam Hartley of Las Vegas, he began this project. If it didn't need stitching, Adam removed it and wrapped it in malibu sand tweed and black vinyl. George’s Upholstery in Las Vegas, also of Las Vegas took care of the items that needed stitching. They used the same malibu sand tweed and black marine vinyl and threw in white piping to set it off.

Knowing that this vehicle was going to get more than its fair share of miles, Brett and Kelli needed the addition of a stereo to keep their ears happy. Along with a CD player, they had a Pioneer Premier 720 with two Pioneer Premier nickel 12’s installed. The box in the trunk was custom built and upholstered with the VW logo in the bottom.
