Leaving the engine alone on a ride of this caliper would be a shame. So to keep the customizing ball rolling, the decision to beef up the already powerful V-8 power plant was an easy one. First, a Whipple Charger was installed to force more air into the stock engine. Power pulleys were also added, giving Wendy's Tahoe a little more power as well. Helping to manage the power, a Jet 6 pack and speed module was installed to help add more ponies. Also allowing more air into the Tahoe's engine came from the help of a Jet air filter. An engine must be able to breathe correctly, so a Dynomax stainless steel exhaust system was installed along with a set of headers. The complete exhaust system was Jet Hot Coated by Ranch Muffler & Truck Accessories of Temecula, California. With all of the new power, Wendy found it necessary to have an Auburn Gear limited slip installed.

With the power plant cranking out more horses, it also needed a little gleam, for added show points. Utilizing products from Empire Motorsports, the engine was dressed to impress with many of the excellent products they provide for Chevy trucks. Empire provided a chrome and powder coated air cleaner cover, chrome valve covers and other miscellaneous chromed and powder coated parts. Olympic coating of Escondido, California is responsible for all of the other engine plating that makes Wendy's Tahoe stand out above the rest. Another custom modification to the Tahoe is the front-tubbed wheel wells under the hood. Most body dropped trucks with large wheels have the fender wells cut out. This Tahoe has a custom set. To provide plenty of juice, an Optima battery was installed. At this point, Wendy found her Tahoe to almost be the show material status she wanted. The keyword being almost. It was time to move to the interior to finish it all up. First, the rear glass was replaced with a PPG clear glass, without the rear wiper. Next, Mike's Tint Shop laid down some custom Madico tribal window tint.
