Dustoff Show
Dustoff Show
Now that the basics are out of the way, this show was killer. For anybody that has never heard/been to Dustoff let me tell you first hand that this is one of the shows you have to mark on your calendar for next year especially since it is now a 2-day show.
Lets start off with Friday night Ronnie and I hop in the tow-trucks and headed over to the hotels that are across the street from the show to hang out and drink beer with the people rolling in. To our surprise the hotel lot was full when we got there and everybody had already commenced to drinking and partying. This gave us a good chance to talk with people and get a sneak peek of how the show was going to turn out and to let the out-of-towners a glimpse of how redneck Seagoville is. Now don't get me wrong the show is in a great location and I do have the right to make fun of the people in Seagoville because I live 8 miles from the show in a city called Mesquite not too much bigger but we do have hooters. But anyways Friday night did give me a glimpse of what was in store for me on Saturday.
Saturday started early for me so I was excited to get an early start on taking pics. As I arrived to the show Xposed Visionz already had a line about a mile long full of show cars/trucks waiting to get classed and parked. This was an unbelievable sight and XV was on their way to beat last year's entry numbers. While waiting on everybody to get situated I had time to hang out with the vendors such as Billet Accessories Direct, Hack Shack and Street Skinz Clothing which both had booths for all the spectators to check out. In the process of shooting the show I noticed all the different clubs that where in attendance such as Negative Camber, Severed Ties, Relaxed Atmosphere, Pleasures and of course Lower Level brought out enough rides to win club participation. To add to the list of clubs the new chapters of Acrophobia and Aftermath made their Texas début at Dustoff.
Getting all the pictures I needed to take it was time get features and continue to drink beer in preparation of the nightly events, after a small incident between Kevin and a entrant burning his tires I finished up my features we headed out to get some food and get cleaned up. Saturdays nightly events included a dance contest that unexpectedly turned in to a small strip tease, which pleased all the guys at the show. After the contest Xposed Visionz welcomed everybody to stay and hang out at the grounds to party which was a great idea the cops stayed out of our hair and made occasional appearance's just to take time out of their nightly duties and enjoy what the show brings to there small town. Winding up Saturday night it was time to head to the house.
Sunday was an even better day for Dustoff meaning more entrants and plenty of time left to judge them before the awards. While XV was finishing up there judging I took this chance to sell a few shirts and I would like to thank Julie and Kendra for helping me out they did a great job and I could not have sold the shirts with out them, thanks girls. But as the show came to a close around 2:30 it was time for awards and they went as smooth as any awards can go and the best of show trophy was sponsored by B.A.D.
Dustoff is one of the few 2 day shows in Texas and one of the biggest hopefully next year everybody can put this show on there calendar and all of you that are on the east or west coast can experience what a big show a little club can host. Until next time support the scene and the people in it for the scene.
