Under the hood of Howard's Focus, many things were changed to give the little four-banger much more power than stock. First, Howard ported and polished the heads of the stock engine, and replaced the internals with stronger units such as Crowler rods, JE Pistons and a new camshaft courtesy of Web cams. Howard replaced the stock underdrive pulley with a model from Esslinger and added a Ford Motosports intake manifold, as well as AEM intake. If the new mod's weren't enough, Howard also installed a 150 shot direct port nitrous system from NOS and then used a Diablo Sport Chip to allow the car's computer to utilize the new engine modifications to the max. In the rear, Howard's Focus can breathe easier thanks to 2 1/2" Borla cat-back exhaust system.
