Speaking of bringing the truck to life lets move to the engine. Billy used a Kim Barr short block as a starting point and from there he added Dart 2 sportsman heads, steel crankshaft and a B & M flywheel. For ignition purposes he installed a Mallory electric distributor, Mallory coil, Taylor wires and a dash mount ignition switch. On the outside of the engine you will find a Weiand aluminum water pump, electric cooling fan, Zoops engine pulleys, a chrome 100 amp alternator, a 671 blower and 2 Holley 650 double pumpers.

After all the porting, polishing, balancing Billy decided to add billet specialties valve covers and air cleaner cover to give the engine a more show truck look. Transferring power from the engine to the rear tires Billy used a 91' Chevy 700 4R transmission with a B&M hole shot converter and a 2800 stall, all linking up to a custom made drive shaft and a 1979 camaro 10 bolt rear end. Although Billy has never found out the top speed of his truck but we all know that it can throw rocks like nobodies business.
