Like I have said in the past years Dustoff is my favorite show to go to. I don't know if its because its in my home town or if it because it keeps getting bigger and better every year. The guys and girls of Xposed Visionz plan all year for this event to make sure it kicks off smoothly and once again they pulled it off. Along with all the work XV put in the show they had help from their sponsors which consisted of Kaik products, Killer Ridez, Drop Em' wear, Stylin Concepts, Ekstensive Metal Works and 971 Digital.
To start my weekend off I cruised the truck over to the hotel across from the show to hang with the out of towners that came in early for the show. Much to my surprise the hotels were pretty quiet everyone was acting like grown ups and hanging out in an orderly fashion, whatever that is. With the clock ticking towards 12 I headed back to a local shop to try and help out with some last minute details being laid out on a 61' caddy.
Saturday came pretty early as we loaded the trucks up and headed to the show. Once we arrived we set the canopy up and did some last minute detailing on the trucks before we started our rounds. Walking around the show I noticed it wasn't even noon and the show grounds were getting full. By the time I got to the other side of the park I noticed that the registration line was still packed, I know the guys of XV were excited by the 365 entries. While trying to work the booth and talk to friends I haven't seen in a while time flew by me. 5 o'clock was coming on and Kevin and myself picked out our features and started shooting while my buddy Eskimo Joe watched my booth. Luckily this shoot went well I had Mitch and the guys from severed ties to keep the jokes rolling.
Saturday night was a story for a lifetime all in itself, between everyone cruising, duh getting her bagged s-10 smacked and me blowing an airline trying to impress a hot chic, everyone had there fair share of beer and fun. I think I even saw Big Dave body slam a friend for hiding beer and chasing Poo for helping him, good thing Poo didn't get caught. Sometimes I wish nights like this never end, even though bad things happen. After locking up the caddy that went dukes of hazard style off roading and pushing my truck to a safe place we all headed home to get our rest for the next day.
That's right people Dustoff is a 2 day show. Sunday kicked off with a bang everyone was up and going fairly early. While waiting on my merchandise to show up I had the chance to walk around again to get a better look at the vehicles. At this time I had the chance to talk with several clubs such as Kontradictions, Tail Draggin Customs, Severed Ties, Twisted images and lets not forget about Sinner from Aftermath. Why is it when you want time to go slow, it flies by you? Before I knew it on Sunday it was time for the awards. Awards usually are long and drawn out, but not at Dustoff they get the ball rolling and get the plaques out quickly. I would like to say congrats to those that won their classes and a big congrats to Wkd Wgn for winning Best Of show and Texas Camber for winning best mini and best suspension at his first show with his ext cab Mazda.
I would like to thank all those that helped me when the truck was broke down, you know who yall are and I owe yall big time. I would also like to thank XV for their hospitality, yall always take care of me when I am there. Lastly I would like to thank all the people that came out to the show to help keep the show scene going. For those that didn't attend make sure to mark it on your calendar for next year because I guarantee its gonna be bigger and better.
