Dustoff
Dustoff
This was my first year attending Dustoff and I can honestly say I was impressed. Not only did the show draw many quality rides, it drew them with thick clouds lingering over the Dallas area and rain through out the day. Xposed Visions did a good job handling the weather situation and the show steamed on.
It all started for me Saturday morning. I woke up to the sound of rain hitting the roof. After looking out of the window and confirming what I already knew, I rolled over and went back to sleep hoping it would pass. Around 10 A.M., I packed up and set out for the Seagoville. Even though the weather wasn’t the greatest, the line getting into the show was long. After finally making my way into the show, I quickly took a stroll around the show grounds and found many quality rides ranging from body dropped minitrucks to imports and everywhere in between. Even though it was cloudy and there were showers off and on throughout the day, everyone seemed to be enjoying the show. Some were even enjoying the mud, doing doughnuts and burnouts and racing their mini-bikes and four wheelers all over the grounds. Late in the afternoon, mother-nature decided she couldn’t wait any longer and the rain became steady. At that time, I packed up and headed home.
The next day we jumped out of bed to notice bright sunshine, blue skies and warm Texas weather that is the norm. I headed back to the show to notice another line of vehicles and many people walking around enjoying the nice weather as well as the nice rides. I walked around, snapped photos and said hello to the different clubs and individuals that I’ve met throughout the years. Since this was my first show of the season, it was nice getting back into the swing of things and seeing plenty of new rides. We watched the dodge ball tournament as well as the local Seagoville police department and animal control handle a few snakes that were hanging out on the show grounds. Around 4 P.M., the crew from Xposed Visions gathered everyone near the stage and handed out the awards for this years event.
Despite the weather issues on Saturday, this show went very well with many really nice rides and tons of satisfied people in attendance. Make sure you mark your calendar for next years Dustoff as will we.
