For those of you who don't know the name of the show but have heard the name of the town you know how big this show is. Most people don't refer to this show as "Showfest" rather, Greenville. Assorted Minis hosts what is considered one of the best shows on the East Coast each year and this year was definitely no exception. After the town of Greenville being so friendly with the masses that flocked into their small town last year, word quickly got around that this year was going to be even better. And the words were correct. I hitched a ride with some of my local buddies from Nashville for the six-hour journey into the middle of nowhere, A.K.A. Greenville, Mississippi. After staying up all night, we finally left Nashville at 6am and began the journey. We were rolling three-deep in our convoy, which included myself with Brandy and Chris, Chrystian driving his Cavi, and Henry pimping his Accord. Upon arriving in Greenville, we were greeted with dark, overcast skies and pouring rain. It didn't look so hot. We quickly pulled into the hotel and started unpacking and were quickly greeted by Kevin, Jacque, Jay, Just Dave and Jim, the Relaxed Atmosphere crew from Florida. After exchanging greetings, I got a quick ride from Kevin across the street and was greeted by a gang of Texas playboys. Scott, Mark, Jeremy, Kent and Angel were chillin' outside of the Ramada with the Severed Ties, Texas crew. A quick hello to everyone proved only to more people arriving including Frank, Amanduh and Cori, more of my Texas friends. After talking to everyone for a while, I headed back across the street and ran into more people from Florida, including Scuba Steve, Eric Cryan, Tom Bennett and Bruce Rivera. We talked and then my friend Shaun from Airlift gave me a lift back over to the Ramada, where I met Eddy Cebreco and Greg from West Palm and we checked into our hotel room. By now Greenville was already starting to jump, with rides lining not only the hotels, but the streets as well. Massive amounts of people lines hotel parking lots and everyone was already in full party mode, ready for the weekend. Eddy, Greg and myself took off for a stroll around the hotel where we checked out the rides and ran into yet another crew from Florida, Mini Madness. Callie and Jim were walking around checking out the dope rides in the parking lot, so we chatted with them for a few before we took off down the road to another hotel, and ran into yet again, another Florida crew, Jimmy and Scott from Daytona Beach. After hanging out with their crew for a while, we headed back to the Ramada, where the crowd was huge and the infamous dragfest had begun.

After a late (and I do mean late) night of hanging out, partying and watching the cruising on the strip, we turned in for a good nights sleep anticipating the show the next day. Up early Saturday morning, we headed out into the unseasonable cool Greenville weather and to the show, where the line was already backed up for almost a mile to enter the grounds. I entered the park and was greeted by the host, Assorted Minis, who made me feel right at home. After getting my credentials squared away, I ran into yet another group from Florida, this time, Russ and his Severed Ties crew. I said hello, and went inside. Wow… that's the only way I know how to describe things once I was inside. Not only was the place packed (doubled from previous years) but also the amount of eye-catching rides was impossible to imagine in one place. Many rides were recognizable from their magazine features and cover shots throughout the past few years. All of the hard-hitting clubs were also on-hand, showing massive amounts of their latest rides. Bill Carlton brought out his famous white, bagged Corvette along with many other display vehicles, showing what services he had to offer. The M.I.C. Krew Kut dually was also on display, as new owner Heather from Relaxed Atmosphere, had it cleaned up and looking good for the entire crowd to see. Severed Ties and Negative Camber were also on hand, displaying their finest rides as well as the likes of Exclusive Styles, Pebble Pushers, Pleasures, and Kontradictions. After a long day in the sun, everyone proceeded back to their hotels for a quick shower and change of clothes before the Saturday night party began. As soon as the sun sat, the cruising, burn-outs and railing commenced. Greenville's Mayor was in the mix, meeting people and making sure everything went well. There were a few surprises for the massive crowd, as Bill Carlton drove by railing uni-body on his 'Vette and Heather and Joey flew by dragging the Krew Kut dually to the delight of the crowd. The party went late into the night and into the early hours of the morning before everyone decided to hit the hay and get at least an hour or two of sleep before the show Sunday. Sunday morning rolled around and it was back to the show again to finish out the already exciting weekend. The weather on Sunday was a little better, as it wasn't quite as cold as the day before. After the crowd piled back in, I finished taking photos and then waited for the award ceremony to behind. The crew from Assorted kept most of the crowd entertained by having a few females display their own "bags" and then went straight to work handing out the trophies.
