Now I have to take some credit about why the truck is the gorgeous two-tone you see before your eyes. First the truck was rolled out in 2002 a solid Alpine Green hue, sprayed by none other then Kenny at Kenny’s Paint and Body, and well to kind of get ahead of myself Jonathan has a bad ass motor as you will soon read, well at Spring Fling 2002 I asked Jonathan to do a hellasious burn out for the show coverage and well him being the crazy ass mini trucker that he is, well he did it but only to burn the paint on the tops of the fenders of the Splash bed. So instead of painting the entire truck he added White Diamond to the lower half the truck after that show. So see even I have a hand in temping fait to steer the truck into being what you see today. Ok now I will climb down from my high horse and get back to the story at hand. I guess since I let the cat out of the bag about this bad to the bone motor I guess I better tell you about it and not leave you hanging. Jonathan started with a donor from a stock 82 Mustang 5.0 beater. Once the motor was removed from its donor it would then be treated to a fresh rebuild with only the best internal components money could buy.

For starters 10:1 flat tops were added along with 5.43 Crane cam and other various internal items for some get-up and go. An aluminum intake was then topped with a Holley 650 double pumper. For plenty of spark a Mallory ignition and distributor was then added. To ensure proper cooling in the FL heat an aluminum radiator was then used and plumbed thru Wysco stainless radiator hoses. Aluminum underdrive pulleys were then matched with several chrome and billet items to add detail to the ultra clean engine bay. L&L headers were called upon and then routed thru 2 ½” Flomaster mufflers. Stainless steel braided lines were then used to replace any rubber line that once occupied the now sanitary engine compartment. Now that Jonathan had the muscle he needed to move his Ranger quickly down the road he now needed a tranny that could handle the 400 Horses that the 302 was now producing, so a C-4 with manual valve body was then built to accommodate the massive amount of horsepower the now built 302 was producing.
