Can anyone tell summer is just around the corner? A part of me is happy when it is April and May and another part is sad cause I know for the next 6 months it will be non stop every weekend, so lets here from the happy side of me. This weekend we headed up near Houston to the Village Creek Slam N Jam Auto show in Lumberton Texas. Don’t let it scare you being at a High School; this show has things going on. When we arrived the guys had a carnival setup for all the families and kids to have fun and the car show for us less admired mini truckers haha.This is our second year to cover the Slam N Jam and every year it keeps growing. The carnival was a nice touch, they had it filled with rides, games and PLENTY of food to make the day enjoyable for all kids young and old. On hand this year was the guys from Lumberton off Road and lets talk about what they had in store for us. What is it with America and the love of destroying something, where did it come from, ouch well all I know is we do it well. These guys brought out one of there Jeeps and a few F250s with some pretty radical suspension work and proceeded to smash a few cars from the local trailer park. Edge Custom Wear was on hand to sell some of their clothing line and Oreillys took care of all the trophies this year. Numerous other sponsors were on hand this year including Lumberton Tire, Cowboy Red’s, ZTech, Precision Tire, Jimmy’s Wrecker Service, Street Justice, Cowboy Honda and Harley, Infamous Designs, 409 Innovations and Flik Kustoms. Next year if you are planning your show season early put this one on the list. Every year it is growing and we can’t wait to see it next season.
