Potter and Robert "Robbo" Crowell started the cutting process in the rear of the truck. They stripped all the stock suspension off and started building a complete custom back half. 2x4" square tubing was used for the frame rails and a bag on bar set up was designed to work with a triangulated wishbone three link. A removable custom bent tubular bridge was built and powdercoated. The rear axle ended up being narrowed a total of 10" to tuck his new chrome 24" Boss wheels. Next they moved up front where the suspension would be a bit more difficult. They started by "Z'ing" the frame 2 inches. Then they built upper control arms with uniballs, raised them 5 inches, and narrowed them 3 inches from the stock length. The lower custom tube control arms were shortened 1.5 inches. McGaughy's spindles were added along with Slam Specialties bags on the front and rear. Everything was hard-lined with 1/2" aluminum lines. Dual Viair 444's, Viair gauges, two 3 gallon tanks, and an AVS brass knuckle switch box round out the air management. And just for some added fun train horns were thrown in. The bodydrop was next and began with a 2 inch channel, lowering the body mounts and front frame horns 2 inches, and tubbing the floor for transmission/driveshaft. This resulted in a brand new Dodge laying rocker.
