If that wasn’t bad enough, just hours after this truck was shot at Blooddrag, yet another tornado touched down, making this one of the luckiest, toughest trucks in the scene. But this wouldn’t be the only obstacle this truck has ever faced. After being built by Sam Beckett, “Evil Twin” was then passed along to Mellon back in March of 2008. “I started looking for my dream truck and put my 2007 Chevy Crew Cab up for trade,” Mellon says. “I was actually looking for something mildly customized so I could finish it myself, but when I came across Sam’s ‘Evil Twin’ for trade, I couldn’t pass it up.”

Realistically, who could pass up this truck? Although beautiful, the truck was beginning to show its age after years of being shown. Having graduated from Wyotech with a background in body work and chassis fab, Mellon was more than prepared to tackle the task of bringing this truck back to its former glory with a touch of its new owner of course. After tearing the truck down into about a 1000 pieces, Mellon began with the suspension after the blown bag-tornado extravaganza, Mellon began by replacing the old firestone bags with new Firestone 2800s all around and adding new Parker valves all around the truck. However, most of the suspension work done by Brian Jendro at Temecula Rod and Custom in Temecula, California was still in great shape from when it was first installed.
