Francisco Paredes “Poncho” Star is a new comer to the truckin’ scene. But Jim Ankrum of J&S Customs had all the right answers Poncho was looking for - TO HAVE A BITCHIN’ RIDE. When Poncho of Simi Valley, California purchased his truck in 1997, he had no idea that J&S Customs would turn his ride around in less than ten months and help turn heads everywhere he would venture. The 1993 Chevy 1500 was rolled into J&S Customs with some serious modifications waiting. With Jim Akrum’s mind at work, the first step of the transformation was to start shaving everything from the tailgate to the most detailed aspects such as the upper rain gutters and then moving his way back down to the door handles. After molding the roll pan in, Jim then went to work with molding his own buckets so that the Cadillac taillights would form to the truck like a work of art. With this accomplished, Jim got out his pencil and paper to work his wonders which were soon to come alive in Poncho’s truck.
