4. Once everything was cut out the next step was to clean up the cut and grind away the paint preparing for welding. Once cleaned up John then built some inner pods that would be welded in making a cup for the taillights to sit in along with strengthening the quarter panel.

5. Once the new cups where in place, the welds are then ground down and then a thin coat of bondo was laid down and smoothed out to give things a more stock appearance. 6. With the cups built, a pod on the bottom was built for one of the pegs on the back side of the taillight to sit into keeping things into place.
