The Custom Compact Nats (CCN) where held in Harrisburg, PA at the PA State Farm Show Complex this year. Those who enjoyed the show last year would know why it’s not held in Carlisle any longer, and for all who didn’t the list involves: public nudity (i.e. flashing, and the girls that went down on each other in the bikini contest), high ticketing, and wreck less and careless driving on the fairgrounds causing a lot of damage. Its almost sad to think that we almost lost suck a big show due to the childish, and ridiculous things that these "adults" did. A lot of people complained about the cops, but it was expected because of what had happen in the years it followed. But beyond that this show is always a huge show for the Import, and custom compact enthusiast/builders to show off what they have done for the sport. We can only hope that it continues to gain popularity and the people who attend the show may some day mature. Ever year that I have attended this show it seems to grow in popularity, probably because the area the show is held in is so large. Although the event was held mostly in-doors this year it was so big that it didn’t seem to bother anybody at all. And the air conditioned elite area also appeared to be a big hit this year. Some events that they had at the CCN’s where a bikini bull riding contest, DB sound-off, indoor burnout contest (huge mistake), and tons and tons of venders selling the markets hottest products. Another bonus they had was the added Elite area where all the top modified cars could compete amongst one another. Another popular event was Richard Markham’s (www.richardmarkham.com) booth. At this show he was painting his Toyota Celica, as you can see from the pictures all the graphics on the door and across the hood where all painted at the show for the audience to see. With the Custom Compact culture rising in popularity, and the shows popping up all over the globe, this is definitely a show you should not miss.
