The show was held at the Oakley Headquarters in Foothill Ranch, Ca. It was an awesome location; the Oakley Building had a cool modern industrial look and feel to it. Not too many trucks showed, but there was still a good showing of top notch trucks and customs.
Of course, the Street Trucks crew was there showing what they drive. I ran into Courtney Hallowell, editor of the magazine, and I asked him if I could shut the doors on the Devious built Nissan Titan for a shot. Being the cool dude that he is, he was like, “Go for it, do what ever you want, pretend it’s your truck.” The Truck of the show, in my opinion was Mike Sutton’s classy body dropped uni-body full size Chevy. Two-tone yellow and silver with graphics with a sick fill separates the colors, reverse cantilever in the back. The spacious interior consisted of dark tan wrapped buckets and sub enclosure was done by Enduratex Innovative Vinyl, while the steel painted dash gave the truck a real classic look.
There was a good showing of lifted customs as well. Outlaw off road brought some tough trucks like their F-650 diesel and late model f-150 pre-runner. Other shops, like KRZ represented there products, they brought along their stock floor body dropped Chevy full size to show off their tube back-halfs. There were more customs from old school to new school there as well. I think next year, the show will be a LOT bigger…if you didn’t go or show this time around, you should next year.
