For those of you that are SSM chat junkies, you've heard about this show. This was the first show put on by Illicit. You may know some of the people involved with it, such as Laura200sx, PhatMX6, ShellyKY along with the help of LowTaco98. When I found out that the show was being handle by them, I knew I had to make it a show to attend. The show was held in Johnson City, Tennessee at Arena Cart Racing. The show site was probably one of the best selected sites I've been to. Arena Cart Racing is an indoor go-cart track inside of an old Lowe's building. Not only was your entry fee used to allow you to show your ride, you also got a pass for a free go cart ride. I unfortunately didn't get a chance to use my free pass, I was too busy checking out all the rides and hanging out with everybody. The show was only about an hour away, so the ride took no time at all with the small train of custom rides we had rolling out of my hometown. After taking off for a while to shoot a feature on Chris Clark's body dropped '89 S-10, it was time to make a few more rounds and check out a few new rides that showed up while I was gone. The Illicit crew did a great job taking care of business all day as well as making sure all the judging was done in time. They had plenty of hot dogs and drinks for sale also. Illicit made sure that everyone stayed busy through out the day with a hydro contest spl contest and the go cart races. After seeing how good of a show that Illicit can throw, me and all my buddies will definitely make it back to all of them.
