Eli first begin his journey with the help from his brother Justin who reworked the suspension of Eli's Mazda and gave it more of a worthy ride height. First Justin performed a c-notch in the rear frame rails and ditched the stock leaf springs for a custom 2-link. An Air Ride Technologies panhard bar was installed in conjunction with the 2-link to help with swaying. Custom mounts were fabricated in the rear so Firestone airbags could be installed for lift. To help with ride quality as well as show points, chrome Carrera shocks were installed in the rear. Up front, Bell Tech drop spindles helped bring the nose down. Justin then installed another set of Firestone airbags and Air Ride Technologies shocks. The brake line was polished as well, giving Eli's Mazda a few extra points in the show category. Justin then wired up the ½" Herion fast electric valves, which uses a 100% duty cycle compressor and 6-gallon tank, and Eli was now able to go from stock height to ultra low with the touch of a switch.

When you purchase a truck for $300, you have to know the body isn't going to be in perfect condition. Eli didn't have to look any further than himself to massage the body of his Mazda and get it back in pristine shape. First, Eli tossed the stock fenders in the garbage and replaced them with 4x4 fenders. Eli also ditched the stock grille and replaced it with a phantom grille shell from F.B.I. (Fender Bender International).
