Import shows are dominating the show scene, and when a show is mixed with an all out drag war you know that this will draw some of the cleanest and fastest rides the south has to offer. I had decided that going to this show without someone to keep me out of trouble was not going to be an option so I quickly enlisted the services of my boy Jamie to tag along. As we made our way to State Capitol Dragway in West Baton Rouge, LA we decided that the new Mayhem DVD was in order to make the trip go by quicker. Jamie popped in the DVD and I drove the daily beater as if I was recreating a scene from the new 2Fast and 2Furious movie. As we arrived well after dark we made our way to the show section of the show grounds, were I was greeted by my boy Lomax and his gathering of gorgeous girls he had brought with him to the show. Guys a pimp or something I swear, but anyway something in my gut told me that I needed to go ahead and take as many pixs of the show as I possibly could even thought darkness had fallen hours prior. I made my way to the ΒΌ mile area and was able to take some sweet action pics of the head to head racing that was taking place. As I was about to gather my gear and leave I heard the rumbling of what I thought was a plane over my shoulder only to see the cleanliness of a red, white and blue RX-7 make a 8 second pass down the track making the 300Z in the far lane look like he was in reverse. This car was incredible. As soon as we were able to find the car in the pit area we were able to learn that it hosted a T-21 Garrett Hybrid turbo with more mods then Pam Anderson. As we walked around gathering more show coverage the stage area came to life as the rapper extraordinaire himself Mystical took the stage and brought the house down with his latest rhymes. As Saturday night's activities at the track drawn to a close the activities at the host night club, NightLife were just getting started. Cliff Wallace the shows promoter had acquired the sponsorship of the most happening club in the Louisiana capitol city to host the after party. With DJ Burnz, DJ Hart, DJ Iceman DJ Trashy and DJ Sharky spinning the latest dance music the party didn't stop until the lights finally came on at 3 am. Now you didn't expect Jamie and me to head back to the hotel this early did you? With the night still young and Nightlife's head of Security hosting his Birthday party in New Orleans we didn't think twice about heading to the Big Easy to attend the party. As the sun came up and Jamie almost going to jail for relieving himself in public it was time for us to make the 80 mile journey back to our hotel for some much needed rest.

Sunday morning just came WAY to soon. As we walked outside to make our way to the track I quickly realized WHY my gut had told me to shoot the show Saturday night. RAIN and lots of it was falling from the sky. We decided to head to the track knowing that the turn for the worst would put a dampener on the racing activities but probably would not stop the other activities. As we arrived back at the track we had made it just in time to view and capture the Bikini Contest for our readers viewing pleasure. These ladies made the foul weather seam to disappear with the top lady bringing home some cash and prizes totaling over $1000.00. With our heads thumping and stomachs hurting it was time to head back to the hotel to get some much needed rest before making the journey home. Special thanks goes out to Cliff Wallace and then entire crew for hosting one incredible show. Cliff would like to invite everyone out next year and stay tuned http://www.importfaceoff.com web site for more details. Photos by:Ben HusserArticle by:Ben Husser andJamie Thomas
