Any bad day at the races is better than a good day at work! If you enjoy racing as much as I do than you'll appreciate any show that has races going on at the same time. Firebird raceway here near Boise is always fun, but even better when it is a car show at the same time. Firebird holds "Battle of the imports" every year and brings out an impressive group of vehicles. Some are all go, no show…. Others are on the other side of the coin. Then you have some truly impressive ones that are both fast and beautiful. We brought project z to this show and won best of show, sport compact. Unfortunately I lost in the first round of racing eliminations cause I pulled a .487 light (false started by .13 of a second). The car I was racing was a 19 second car which mean's he got a several second head start. That kind of messes with your head when you realize you have to catch and pass him and he's almost half way down the track already. Only practice can cure that though.The show seems to get bigger and faster each year. With cars pulling low 11's in the ¼ mile, it's always an impressive show.
